The Garden Route is one of the most scenic parts of South Africa. Situated on the  Southern Cape Coast  almost midway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, the area offers some of the most beautiful scenery and the widest variety of nature's gems to be found anywhere in the world. The Garden Route stretches for two hundred miles from Heidelberg in the west to the Storms River mouth in the east; from the vaulted peaks of the Outeniqua Mountains in the north to the rolling white waves of the Indian Ocean in the south.
